SET ME FREE FROM THIS PRISON
THE RAINS FALLS AGAINST A BLANK CANVAS
☼
Leaving the mansion was tricky, it was always tricky. One had to be cautious and always on their guard. Vampires that are loyal to the masters of the mansion patrol the long halls and watch the doors, so to even get out without being noticed was always risky. But for her, she knew the ins and out of the mansion. Ever since she was a child brought here, she has found ways to get out of the mansion without being caught. Even if she is always found out and brought back to the mansion. Mikato never gave up though, no matter how many punishments she has had to take. It was worth it.
A secret way out of the mansion, she slipped through a passage hidden behind a wall and took the way out to the back of the mansion. Hiking up her dress a little she quickly made her way through the maze of a passage until she reached a long hall. When she reached the door, Mikato adjusted her hood and opened the heavy wooden door doing her best not to attract any unwanted attention. When the coast was clear, she made a beeline for the lower village. With what time she did have until she was discovered gone, Mikato was once again trying to find her family.
It was something she had to know, about that day long ago. Even though she was told countless time that her parents didn't want her anymore.
For years she never believed it.
Once she reached the edge of the higher village after coming down a path from behind the mansion, she took a deep breath and with haste in her steps she moved quickly through the empty village. It seemed the vampires weren't out at this time, which was good for her and she made it through unseen. She soon crossed over a wooden bridge and into the lower village. The rain soaking her through but she didn't care. When she moved towards the homes, a sound caught her attention and spinning around she came face to face with one of the beasts which often were unleashed upon the lower village. Keeping still, Mikato slowly took a few steps back while keeping eye contact with the beast. "I will not be your meal today creature of the shadows. Be gone."
